wouldn't it technically be better for them to announce that yamada's in a relationship when she makes her debut? Ik in real life the idol/jpop/kpop/etc managers exploit so many of the relationships of the idols to maintain the parasocial relationship the fans have with their favorite idols, but it wouldn't be helpful that when yamada starts to get famous and is in highschool still, to announce she's in a relationship cus the new fans would already know that and would keep some sort of realism when idolizing her? Ik this prolly couldn't be done in real life, but its interesting food for thought.
They're not in high school, they're in middle school. But they will be in high school in about 6 or so months.
Also, technically she isn't an idol, per se... I mean, she's a celebrity, I suppose, but she's a pro fashion model and actor and nothing else, profession-wise. But I concede a point made by another commenter that there's still idol-like treatment even if one isn't a pop idol, depending on circumstances.
Wait. Glasses, braided hairstyle... that reminds me something
In response to the vague description... I get your reference, but... That description is a pretty common design archetype for nerdy, plain meganekko. Like, Narusegawa from Love Hina when she would wear glasses and braid her hair when going to cram school to avoid unwanted attention.
Also unrelated saw the work stressing the relationship coming miles away. What do we think the resolution is? We know Ichikawa is planning to go to a tough university and that means even less time as he studies.
Not a university, a high school. They're in middle school right now. He's applied to a prestigious private high school.
People keep forgetting they're in middle school and moving on to different high schools that prepare them for further education in their desired fields, or just advanced high schools to prepare for better universities in 3-4 years.
Bring back Gyaru as disguise!
Thanks for translation!
It won't help- that look was for her dream acting role in the Kimi-Oku drama. People will still recognize her as that character, at least, if not as her model identity.
Normally the post every other Thursday like Aug 1st 2024 Thursday but there wasn't a new chapter it was supposed to come out with chapter 150. Yes this is one of my favorite mangas and it takes about 60-65 chapters to make a season. We probably wont see a season 3 until late next year until chapter 180 or so. I love the fact that everything in this anime feels real as Norio senpai mentioned herself that's how she wants us to view it as real as possible. Also, the song Kyo made for Anna is an actual song just type in danger in my heart in youtube and song and it should pop up
Really do love this work, too. And I haven't noticed the seasons and episodes necessarily lining up to chapter counts so much as Volume counts: Season 1 covered Volumes 1-4, Season 2 covered Volumes 5-8. A prospective Season 3 would cover Volumes 9-12.
I even kind of counted things out on the twitter extras chapters that were anticipating the release of the episodes, where I analyzed what chapters were covered by what episodes. On average, it was a 4-5 chapters per episode spread, with the final four episodes being more like 3-4 chapters per episodes because they had an extra episode to work with and they wanted to really flesh out the episodes covering Volume 8.
