Can someone tell me if the chapter got delayed
Did it really get delayed? :C I actually just got caught up and I cannot wait for a season 3 anime as well as more manga! C: How often do they post? Every other week?? I want the creator to take their time. They have shown time and time again they really genuinely care not only for this couple but for us fans. I want them to take as much time as they need to enjoy life and writing more of this story too. This series means a lot to me.

Normally the post every other Thursday like Aug 1st 2024 Thursday but there wasn't a new chapter it was supposed to come out with chapter 150. Yes this is one of my favorite mangas and it takes about 60-65 chapters to make a season. We probably wont see a season 3 until late next year until chapter 180 or so. I love the fact that everything in this anime feels real as Norio senpai mentioned herself that's how she wants us to view it as real as possible. Also, the song Kyo made for Anna is an actual song just type in danger in my heart in youtube and song and it should pop up

So many japanese media keep calling out how horrible the japanese idol industry is.

Once too many times to just be a coincidence.

When the very people who work in these industries are crying out "THIS IS FUCKED UP AND NEEDS TO STOP!", maybe it's a sign that there is something intrinsically wrong with this industry.
I won't matter as long as it brings in gobs of money.

EDIT: I see that was mentioned several times...

wouldn't it technically be better for them to announce that yamada's in a relationship when she makes her debut? Ik in real life the idol/jpop/kpop/etc managers exploit so many of the relationships of the idols to maintain the parasocial relationship the fans have with their favorite idols, but it wouldn't be helpful that when yamada starts to get famous and is in highschool still, to announce she's in a relationship cus the new fans would already know that and would keep some sort of realism when idolizing her? Ik this prolly couldn't be done in real life, but its interesting food for thought.
That's exactly how Mai handled it because Sakurajima Mai is elite. Ig Yamada is too young and immature to make strong decisions like Mai so early. So this secret dating drama will go on for a little while until author decides to give the characters the push the need.

I just think the author neglects the fact that Ichikawa is an introvert at times and basically does not showcase an introverts mentality well enough.

while non-dating policy sometimes its good...

it can be very annoying thing also

mostly when we talking about young idol and asian =w=lll
It's not necessarily the companies though. From what I know, nowadays a lot of them are actually okay with idols having relationships. But hiding them is still a thing for most companies, especially since quite a number of the idol fans are crazy, not the mention the stalkers as well..

They're not in high school, they're in middle school. But they will be in high school in about 6 or so months.

Also, technically she isn't an idol, per se... I mean, she's a celebrity, I suppose, but she's a pro fashion model and actor and nothing else, profession-wise. But I concede a point made by another commenter that there's still idol-like treatment even if one isn't a pop idol, depending on circumstances.
Wait. Glasses, braided hairstyle... that reminds me something

In response to the vague description... I get your reference, but... That description is a pretty common design archetype for nerdy, plain meganekko. Like, Narusegawa from Love Hina when she would wear glasses and braid her hair when going to cram school to avoid unwanted attention.
Also unrelated saw the work stressing the relationship coming miles away. What do we think the resolution is? We know Ichikawa is planning to go to a tough university and that means even less time as he studies.
Not a university, a high school. They're in middle school right now. He's applied to a prestigious private high school.

People keep forgetting they're in middle school and moving on to different high schools that prepare them for further education in their desired fields, or just advanced high schools to prepare for better universities in 3-4 years.
Bring back Gyaru as disguise!
Thanks for translation!
It won't help- that look was for her dream acting role in the Kimi-Oku drama. People will still recognize her as that character, at least, if not as her model identity.

Really do love this work, too. And I haven't noticed the seasons and episodes necessarily lining up to chapter counts so much as Volume counts: Season 1 covered Volumes 1-4, Season 2 covered Volumes 5-8. A prospective Season 3 would cover Volumes 9-12.

I even kind of counted things out on the twitter extras chapters that were anticipating the release of the episodes, where I analyzed what chapters were covered by what episodes. On average, it was a 4-5 chapters per episode spread, with the final four episodes being more like 3-4 chapters per episodes because they had an extra episode to work with and they wanted to really flesh out the episodes covering Volume 8.

I think you're underestimating the so-called "no dating rule".
Even newscasters can't avoid that "rule"; look up the case about Hiyama Saya.
I recommend watching Japanalysis' video about that particular case.
But... that case had a happy ending (Saya still kept her job thanks to her employer supporting her despite the crisis). Instead of the message of not underestimating the rule, the real message is: "There is (artistic) life beyond the No-Dating Rule". Besides, that case also involved a high-profile japanese tennist, so maybe a low-profile job for Ichikawa in this manga would work.

Also, COLOMBIA MENTIONED!!!!!! 🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴

TBH this dynamic of theirs with him being shorter than her is quite adorable, hope the author doesn't change it
Thinking about that, I have the theory Yamada has a complex with her height because it seemed to me her jealousy turns more aggresive if the girl is equal or shorter than Ichikawa himself. I still remember how Anna grabbed Kobayashi when she puts kinda enthusiast while interacting with Kyotaro. By contrast, she's kinda more relaxed when it's Hanzawa the one near to Ichikawa, since both are taller than him.

So I assume the one praying to the Gods the most for Ichikawa getting taller than her is Yamada herself.
