Why are some of the best moments in the extras?
I mean, if they are published alongside the regular manga then you wouldn't miss them, but it almost feels like it something that might not be included and could be missed, but as good as they are they definitely shouldn't be missed.

I mean, if they are published alongside the regular manga then you wouldn't miss them, but it almost feels like it something that might not be included and could be missed, but as good as they are they definitely shouldn't be missed.

The cute moments in the extras are often not that deep, just romantic fluff. The main story chapters are needed to convey the serious parts (especially the parts with conflicts), which make the story interesting.

For example, in this chapter, Ichikawa gathering courage to say "good morning" to Yamada is a great moment, but it's only great because all the prior chapters inform the reader to the kind of relationship they have and to the kind of anxieties and insecurities Ichikawa has.

So is theer any reason why it's called extra's and not main chapters?

I understand that, but with how it is, extras basiclt weight more than actual story now, I wonder if they get added in a volume format?

It's just a choice. You can practically consider what's on twitter a spin-off at this point. It's deliberately just extra comics that you can read on a separate website. It's sort of like a marketing tactic as well, since the series gets a lot of interest from them.

The extras don't feel like canon to me. Don't get me wrong I love them but the girl acts very different to the main story. The guy was a bit different in the early extras as well. He seems to be closer to the main story in the newer extras.

Maybe all the extras take place after they start dating 🤔

The extras are canon, but they are also vary wildly on the timeline. The regular chapters are linear, but the extras jump all over the place. The most noticeable are extras for Christmas (extra 19.3) and Valentine's Day (extra 22.1), because they are published on these days IRL.
