the social situation is just too ridiculous - they have to avoid pda, not because they're not married, but so simps on instagram will continue to give her attention
It's the terrible Idol culture man. Those simps can destroy their career for no other reason than "THAT GIRL IS MINE!" and it sucks. Seriously, it's dumb but real.

I didnt get the complaint he had with the teacher. why did he scold him? and the teacher's response was even more confusing...
On the new year they were going to change classes and there was a rumor they were going to split all the good friends and ppl that didnt want to change groups, so Chii started to scream she hated the class she wanted to change and went to the director to say to him directly even.

So what looks like is that the director pulled a prank removing her name on the board of the classes (accident or purpose)

Then Ichikawa response was that he was disappointed on that attitude, and the director kinda implied how nice that Ichikawa Became a bit more assertive.

I definitely like the added details the anime put in for this sequence. Does the 'Adachi on the stairs' scene happen in an extra, or something, or was that wholly anime-born? Because that was pretty prime Adachi-Ichikawa interaction. (Edit: ah, okay, it's 100.5 for the Adachi scene. I guess that made sense with the visible title)

I also liked the note Anna left for Kyo to make sure he stayed behind, instead of just hoping he'd still be in class after everyone else left. As well, the little moment of Anna noticing Kyo outside of the staff office and smiling was a nice touch. The dialog with the teacher immediately after felt a lot better, too, with Kyo saying he "was just worried she'll be too anxious," according to the subtitles, instead of, "If you care about people, I wouldn't think you'd do that," which kinda felt more out of place.

Seriously, so much more the anime seems to be able to do with the extra breathing room of four whole episodes to cover Volume 8 instead of only 3 per Volume like they had for the entire rest of the series. I'm expecting to see more details in the anime than the manga because of this.

Also, yes, this new Kanna Andou (Moeko calls her Kankan) is a menace that will make things unbearably uncomfortable for Anna and Kyo if she gets ahold of them. All must be done to keep her from doing this 'flash mob' nonsense or anything of the sort.

And Moeko was about to tell Kanna how bad an idea the flash mob was... but then she thought of how amusing Kyo's face will be in that moment, and she was on-board. Moe is such an agent of chaos and troll.

I'm a little sad there's no Boredom Society version to compare against, now, to see how they translated things. Like maybe they would have translated Kyo's response to his old teacher differently, in a way that would have felt better like the anime's dialog.

In Netflix translation, Kyotaro said something on the lines of "I never thought of you as a teacher moving influences to keep friend group together.".
