Axed or short series? Either way thanks, I do like this art style, so hope the author gets more opportunity for series

Happy end I guess, we can pretend they had proper therapy and couples counseling in the off screen time between the flash forward 8D

yeah like, going from self destructive serial cheating into an immediate ten year relationship seems pretty unlikely. i imagine (or hope) there was a few years of like her learning to be stable on her own outside of a relationship before they started seriously dating and co-habitating.

Loved the art for this one. It was interesting and I liked the ending. Also appreciated Ami's showing evident and lasting remorse outside of Rei's purview. 3 months is a long time--her change meant something.

They're both cute 10 years later. I wouldn't have minded a continuation but the author wanted a single-volume short story (this was released at once as a volume, I believe; so nothing to "axe") and there wasn't anything else to cover anyway.

Thank you for delivering the final chapter quickly ❤

It was a bit abrupt, but I think it's a reasonable ending for a short series, and it doesn't feel out of place either. Rei was simping hard for Ami for a long time, and after faltering for a bit, and being presented with some positive changes, she decided that she would jump in after all. With her total lack of self-respect, I can totally see it happening.

Dissapointed!

I honestly think this couldve had a HDWR type feel with them finding that despite the turmoil, they were secretly perfect for each other all along, but it seems it had limited minutes.

Shame, but all I can muster is a dissapointed sigh. Cute, but fell flat.

Ngl, I like the ending. I know Ami...
But Rei really like her and she was there when Ami needed her the most. Sometimes we just need a hand to get us out of our situations.

I am only sad trunk-kun didn't visit the teacher.

Of all the abrupt, unearned endings I've read all day, this is the most abrupt and unearned. :glee:

Oh well, at least they're happy in the end. Still wish that sensei got hit by a bus, though. :glee::glee:
that is way i do not believe this story has good writing >.> like, wtf is this ending? all of that in fucking few pages and we can forget her constant cheating a 1 fucking chapter

Okay, it's a happy ending... But I think it's deserve an epilogue about all the mother issue, Ami dropping out highschool, the teacher grooming a student (lol) and Ami herself ?

This ending is really mid for me. I saw Ami's redemption arc like a way to find her an apology on why she treats Rei like a shit. Did I miss the chapter where she actually apologize and ask for forgiveness ? Like genuinely.

Okay she break up with all her others girlfriends and she said she really loves Rei but she should have ended her others relationship way before (obviously) but the best time was at the theme park in the last chapter.

Telling us that in tree months she couldn't find a way to speak with Rei, even indirectly. Her who could found all the excuses to avoid Rei or to just pissed her off.

In the end, the dropping out highschool, the fucking groomer telling Rei she breaks up with her others girlfriends just for her and that she really loves her feels for me like another way to take Ami on pity and putting aside all the things she did to Rei.

Even in the end, Rei was, again, the one who go after her to fix things up.
I would have preferred if Amy apologize first, was the one who tells her she break up with her other girlfriends, ask for forgiveness and if Rei was okay to actually become a couple and give her time to think about it.

Amy was always depict as some frivolous, incomprehensible creature. What she did in the end feels more like she is the one who give Rei another chance, like a give from a Goddess.

The only times when we saw some humanity coming from her was when we learn about her back story with her mother, when she was sick, when she tried to speak with Rei at the end and her couple life with Rei ten years later (ten years is a lot).
It's not enough in my eyes. I think that's the reason why a lot of people didn't / don't like her.
The only thing we get from her was how detached she was with the way she treated Rei.

Also, what the fuck the teacher are doing ? Letting a student dropping out school. Aren't there any child protection in Japan ? Even an association to help them ?

And author's art style and character design ressemble in some way like Batan's works, another mangaka.

Anyway, thanks for translating this manga until the end.

Thanks for the translations!

Well, the story is pretty ass ngl, it is well-drawn so I hope the author has another chance to improve.

1) Ami, before the date, was ALREADY in the process of cutting ties with her other girls. That's what Rei realizes: the break up and cold shoulder were unwarranted because Ami was trying to change and really loved Rei.

2) School is only mandatory until 15 in Japan. So, until the end of the second year of middle school. Also, most middle schools are private and are for profit, so if the mother can't afford to send her to school (and that seems to be hinted at), then it's joining the workforce for Ami.

Chapter 9 was miscommunication and chapter 10 fixed it. Granted, it felt a bit abrupt, but it was planned like this from the start as it wasn't a series but a standalone volume. Granted, the writing could have been better, but it's not as bad as a lot of people make it sound.

I hope the author will consider doing another series. The art style would be such a waste if they're not granted another series.

Well I’m fairly happy with the ending. I’ll probably have to go back and reread from the beginning to really form a better opinion. For now I’d say the ending seems a bit rushed but ultimately fairly satisfying. The story and art were pretty great in general.

Thanks for the translation!
