That first panel, I think I got it, she was scared of one on one time with her girlfriend before cause of how her mum be but with last chapter showing that her girlfriend is different than her mom, she's willing to actually put effort into their relationship now and THAT is some decent devolpment, so you see so long as there is change you can't make me hate any character for too long...
Mmm I didn't forsee that ending, so in the end she was just projecting her mommy issues, yeah it's best to cut ties at that point
