What a weird villain. If the White Queen kills her, or she kills the White Queen, isn't it a lose-lose situation? In one situation, she's dead, so whatever plot she has to use the family's influence is gone. And on the other hand, if she uses being attacked to put the White Queen to death, won't that decrease the standing the family has? I guess she could spin it that the Earl had poor control of his dragon so it was his fault, but like...isn't that counterintuitive if she wants to use his name? His nobility was established from being a renowned dragon knight...she'd either she'd go down (because no one would believe he had poor control considering his history, or because it's common knowledge among those in the know that you can't control dragons).
Maybe it's just good acting, but she seems so damn illiterate and poorly educated on dragon matters I wonder if this will end anti-climactically lol.
