I think you're right. The frilled hairband the girl is wearing is the same style as the one we see Sharon wearing in Alice's memories in chapter 56, while almost every depiction of Alice when she was young has her wearing a non-frilled headband.

And if you look closely, she also has the same beauty mark near her mouth as Sharon does

WAIT! are those alice's mom and the duke's father??!, so its like in a lot of romance stories now where the kids fulfill the love their respective parents couldnt

welp if thats the case then i guess the duke's father was forced to embrace his position and marry a noble girl instead of her beloved maid, and alice is unknowingly forcing herself to the same path.

and if thats true then it would explain why sharon would curse the duke, if they cant even get together alice wouldnt have to suffer the destiny of breaking apart with the duke.

Now im thinking that the dance that the duke's grandfather and sharon shared was probably him telling her to break up with his son, probably going : ''You and him will never be able to dance openly like this, it's truly sad you learned to dance for him'' and a lot of other stuff.

@Hollow7F you cant guess age by height though, at least if they're already an adult who stop growing. Sharon is wearing maid clothes, so she may be an adult already, and that man may also an adult or old man. In dance chapter, duke's grandfather also wear similar hat, so its quite possible for him to be duke's grandfather.

I'm not sure what you all are talking about. The only frame I can find that's remotely ambiguous about identities has a young unkempt man in a white shirt and a girl in a black maid outfit and black hair ribbon. But isn't that just Alice and the young duke in his depressed phase, shortly after Alice is hired? He looks different from usual because he's all suicidal and not eating well and not bothering to comb his hair.

Is there some other scene I'm not seeing?

@Purplelibraryguy the maid seems to be Alice's mother, Sharon. The maid dressed entirely different than Alice, since she always had the black veil, while the flashback shows a more traditional maid outfit. Also the maid has a mole/beauty mark below her lips, similar to how Sharon look like in the flashback chapter about her. The "destiny" part might imply that Sharon had similar romantic relationship with someone from Duke's family (possibly his father, but it's too early to tell).
