Wow, so the Emperor is a piece of trash (we already knew he killed her mom but not much else), he played with his mom's feelings and she suffered from this. The current Empress is also the one they're aiming to kill as one of the main goals and probably the Emperor as well consequentially (unless he obtains the throne by killing his other brothers), that's why they're focusing their attacks in both, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess at the moment. Since An Qi had nothing in her past life and came to this world without nothing as well, the only person that was meaningful was her "sister" (both worlds), but since the Crown Princess killed her, both MC and ML's missions coincidentally entangled perfectly with each other. Now they shared their pasts with each other and there are more and more similarities.

I guess I'm fine with this relationship, tbh even if he tried to control her with the poison situation in the past, I've never felt he was really mean with her; not even while drinking her blood and in general, he always left her to do as she wished and he respects both her mind and her choices- Even if he needed the blood, after staying with An Qi, he never touched another woman and I guess that adds some points, lol. If he respects her heart and treats her properly and is loyal, then I'm all here for it, after all, she has nothing in this world, nor family, no home, no work, and no lover (well, she's obtaining all that now). :b
