@ghusjil Sidis definitely knows who she was, those puppy dog eyes and the way he was holding her hand along with the tears at her death in the flashback. He totally knows and he always had at least a crush on her former self which turned into an unrequited love upon her death.
Although I could be falsely remembering the tears.
It'd be creepy if they (or at least Sidis) don't realize who she was, tbh. I want to believe Sidis knows, that's why he's acting like that (which is admittedly, cute and sweet, if not confusing).
I thought she was going to be engaged to the emperor based on the title (or prince based on the description), but the cover is obviously hinting at Sidis so I was really confused. Still, what's with the title and description though. 😂
You know, I love how they're all like, "Be my bride because you're a rare woman with magic which is only possible if you're someone born from the Royal Empire bloodline." LOL! XD
@keytagnan I think the title might be a mistranslation. If you look on the cover, the English title given is "The court lady of the emperor is hoped for as his bride"...which sounds horrendous in English, yeah, but it creates a vague "he" which is probably meant to be Sidis and not the emperor.
@WhoCares Reading the Jp text, I think the best translation would be "Even the Emperor Wants the Court Lady for a Bride". The way its written suggests the Emperor is included among the suitors, which matches up with the cover. He's probably not the main love interest, but he's the most notable one among them.
Is there any possibility that there has been a switch? Like Sidis is the real Emperor and the cute woof-boy, a decoy? Coz if the Emperor is in the mix of candidates and present from chapter 1, normally he becomes the male lead.
