@soundwave14 I think it’s an alternate reality type situation. She was originally Lily, a cruel woman obsessed with the prince, who kidnapped his fiancée and tried to kill her. She got caught and killed by the prince. Before her death, she read a book that seemed similar to her own life. It had the same people but a slightly different situation where lily was treated horribly by her step family. When she died, she took over the body of her counterpart and has been trying to avoid the fate of the book. My assumption is that the main difference between the two worlds is Lily’s step family. In one (the one she is in now) they have tormented her since her dads death, while in the other, I assume they never existed
