Wtf, he was a "disgrace" because of his hair and eye colour? Hopefully he was a "disgrace" because of something meaningful, like not having the same hair and eye colours as his supposed parents - in other words he was born from an affair. Probably won't be the case though.

@hydrangea_wine I think I've read a couple of mangas where dark hair and eye color were considered to be a mark of a demon king, or an evil god, or whatever. It still sounds flimsy as hell, but we kinda live in a world where gingers were once persecuted as witches, so...

Yeah, I've read stuff like that as well and always thought it was odd, particularly when dark eyes and dark hair isn't uncommon. If they are going to have a special marker, why can't it be something that is truly rare? Of course the author can design their world anyway they want, but people will compare it to rl regardless.

@kawaii123456 I kind of agree, but witch can and is definitely used as an insult to women in real life(to say they're awful or evil etc or as a sub for the b word). Enchantress half and half. Like it makes you think of a woman/girl who can use magic and possible lures in guys idk. But in can be used without magic too. Like guys are easily enchanted/charmed by you and you put them under your "spell." But yeah, witch is better than sorceress or enchantress in my opinion, but like you said they all kind of make you think she has magic maybe even dark/black magic.

yea its my only complain in these kinds of stories.
Though lately there have been some stories that make the transmigation happen after they have done some bad things and closer to the "Bad end" which makes then acting like this make more sense
