I really really appreciate that because, much like my disdain for Watanare, poly shouldn't be a solution to a problem the writer wrote themselves into - it should be a romantic subgenre of its own with its own reasons for existing outside of "well I like both of them!"

The off-ramp in this case seems so damn obvious im kind of surprised it isn't more of a ship yet

You explained exactly how I feel about the whole 'well, let's just make it poly' thing', it should be because the writer actually wants to explore that dynamic, not because they don’t know how to handle romantic tension. A poly relationship deserves intention, not just convenience

also idk I'm really digging the new ship but turns out they’re more of a slow burn than I thought -which honestly makes it even better.
