There's too much in all of your posts for me to reasonably respond to all of it. All I can say after going through them is that you're reading into these scenes wrong and misreading character emotions, amongst other things. You're doing the same to my responses because somehow you got the idea that I don't think Lapis is a character likely to have ill intentions? That I think a character can only be one thing or the other? I'm honestly not sure how that happened or how you could interpret that from what I've written.

Lapis is a conflicted, and avoidant character who will not always do the right thing and will cover up her intentions or feelings with aggression, but her feelings for Natori are growing and are genuine (as much as she wishes they weren't). Of course, Lapis is scheming--that's been clear from the start, that's her whole character background and her starting point. Yes, she seems to dislike commoners. Yes, part of her plan is to manipulate Diana (at least that was the plan in the games), etc. We know this and it's not something I assumed was needing to be debated.

However, you're not picking up on the fact that Natori is breaking down Lapis's inclinations and revealing her vulnerability, no matter how much Lapis resists. It's this ability of Natori to make Lapis feel, that is breaking Lapis down; and it's this ability that makes Natori slowly stand out to Lapis. Lapis hasn't intended to fall for Natori, she is falling unintentionally--kicking and screaming along the way--and you're missing/misinterpreting these subtleties.

And again, most importantly, Natori has shown no such romantic feelings for Diana, no such visual language besides common manga blushes that every character has when met with an aggressively flirty or fawning person (even the prince would likely get these if he complimented her). For Diana, Natori has only shown friendly adoration for a character she admires and was a fan of. They are not being treated the same and Diana knows it (and wishes for more). We'll have to agree to disagree for now.

thank you for this !!! i don’t understand the lapis slander, she has so much depth. both diana and lapis are written so well, that’s why it’s hard to choose who to root for.

same like bro, she has much depth in her character than this "oh she's distant and cold person" are we reading the same manga because what???

Lapis' actions feeling all calculated is the whole point. Because she's fooling herself and playing the villain.
She said so before herself, "because I am Lapis Tenebrae".
We've seen her having tender moments with Natori in private where she needn't keep the facade, even seen her dropping her spaguetti while completely alone.
She's being honest but covering it with deceit to project a certain image.

thank you, someone that understand, many people question what's so good abt Lapis, and said she's cold towards Natori but that's not the case, she acted/potrays herself in certain way to be seen as the "villain".
