a bit conflicted about how her son treats her...while she clearly neglected him, she is making an effort now, so his harshness seems excessive? then again, we do get mostly the FL's perspective so i'm probably biased. and it could be a misunderstanding? i dunno. enjoying it so far though, so looking forward to what happens.

??? I don't get it, what the son wants actually? He's been neglected but she never abused or rude towards him right? She only saw him as heir
He never disrespected her before but kept distance from her (such as no eating together but still made effort by telling reason like busy or anything, only trying to reduce the time they sit on the same place at the same time)
Once her attitude got warm, somehow he took advantage for it? I believe it's like he wanted her mom felt what he felt back then. Warm then being cold so he could saw her mom's expression. It could be say to test other's intention but she's mom and not the back stabbing bxtch >___>

Is this like his last-ditch effort to push her away or figure out her 'real' intentions for her sudden change? Maybe he realized he's warming up to her and wants to make sure of her intentions before he opens up. After all from his perspective it probably seems really sus that a mother who ignored him for 15 years suddenly cares. If I was in his place I'd think she has another agenda and is faking it tbh.
