Their relationship will be unhealthy if it were that of love. But theirs are more like partners, and they both know it.

Marriage can also be used when you two have the power that each other is lacking for that one goal you share, and that is their case. It isn't uncommon, especially in the past, right?

Though Dowun has a bigger influence than she is to him (for now lol), I don't think it's love just yet. It's more of "this person is important to me. He's the first person to talk to me, teach me, helped me, and to be called 'my'". It could bud if they both work for it though.

He’s grooming her. I know they usually use the word to refer to adults, but his actions are very similar to those of a manipulative, much older man. He is shaping her into his tool. I really hope the younger brother stays around, and I hope that Dowun doesn’t pretend to have romantic feelings for the princess. I’d rather her be heartbroken and have no delusions than be strung along, because Dowun is a legit snake.

While I don't know what is going to happen, I feel like it isn't quite the same as grooming. He was up front with his motivations. At the start he said he wanted to marry her for her royal connection and that feelings had nothing to do with it. He has also never shown himself to be particularly affectionate towards her either. While I don't think he is a good person right now, I don't think he is a bad one either. He is just ambitious and ruthless. I do agree that I hope the brother sticks around since she needs his "warmth" to balance/counteract his brother's "cold".

@Zephyr247 and @saphirekosmos i agree with you both . He's a child who lived with a very uncaring father and a bad environment that you'd know why he's like this. He's being manipulative and grooms the female lead the way he wants since it was his aim from the very beginning which is to gain power... At this point, i wont think of him as a child anymore because of this.. But i still believe there would be development like understanding people and aiming for happiness in the long run ...

I also hope gyeol will stay and wont leave the two leads since they really100x need someone like him..

From the beginning his objective is to take the throne and MC is the best option for him because, as he said, the hunger of one who has everything cannot be compared to the hunger of one who has nothing. She had nothing, so he gave her enough for her to wants more. So if she get the throne, as her husband and someone who can manipulate her, he will be the real leader.
