I think this is one cruel way to develop the story but well, logical nevertheless. We all had known Downun only care for power since the beginning and we also got hint of things ahead when the princess didn't save the brother. So i'm alright with all these developments.

I hope the princess would find hapiness tho. And also Baek Han, he seems nice.

Baek Han is so precious honestly the only person she can actually trust 100% would be him. He has no reason to backstab her and based on the scenes we have seen, he isn't the type to control people like Dowun. I hope that if there does happen to be a love interest in this type of story that it'll be Baek Han. I've read some stories where the ML doesn't really treat the FL well, but then the FL still decides to choose the ML which makes no sense. Hopefully this manhwa isn't that type of story and the princess doesn't see Dowun as a lover. Even if Dowun starts treating her with care and not just using her for his needs later on, Baek Han is still best boy.

Dowun what his people near her because he's planning a revolution to kill her in the end. Having baek close will spoil those plans. The minute she gives birth to a child, he will kill her and take over.
