Thank you
@Misotoro and
@Thuglas for the great summarizing of the story.
What a great read it was, now after reading the last chapter it was very clear that Nakamura had very depressed childhood and seeing Kasuga being "like her" helped to not kill herself earlier on as the darkness consumed her.
Kasuga was her only person who was "twisted" like her.
Was her connection to him romantic, a little bit, but more like a transference love where he "saved her", she didn't deserve what Saeki put her through with jealousy driven acts.
Edit: Felt a bit of connection with Nakamura, due to bullying throughout grade school and not so good parenting also seen the world in different ways. Had a chance to meet someone who shared the same vibes in the last years of grade school, because of her being a target of prejudice and suffering from hapephonia, we both healed with our relationship lasting nearly 9 years, but dude to arranged marriage ending in her suicide.
It may sound bad but it's good that Nakamura didn't found someone else eventually and only faintly remembered the good times spent with Kasuga, it's very hard to be with someone broken like her and also sympathize how she is suffering.
