If it follows the novel...im fine etiher way he(mc) chooses, the issue sides with that fatass whether the higher ups gonna listen to him(fatass) or not. cuz it might become a national problem were they will start a country war or something.
Exactly, the guy has no place to return (he didn’t bring Rust back), can’t win in a straight fight, and the twins can uncover ambush. Also he’s just a part of the rot, offing him of in the middle of nowhere will be like a lizard cutting its tail.Honestly, there's not much point in going after him imo. It's better to stay and help defend the camp, especially since there's no way of knowing whether he left behind and/or set up a trap that'll affect the camp.

This becomes a much bigger problem than that, those mushrooms are actually a form of parasitic demon that fatass get's to be the host of, this eventually leads to the royal capital being taken over by fatass and the people being turned into puppets (think cordyceps).
Rust can treat it but still, fatass causes a ton of problems.
Perhaps so. However, I still think the mc should stay to help defend the camp, and afterwards he can go after the fool. Because, I also don't think this stampede is a coincidence, however there's a chance the fool could've infected the stampede also (no idea if so, just throwing a guess out) to have it spread to others. If so, then even if the camp can repel the stampede on their own, they're left defenseless against the infection, since the mc seems to be the only one who can deal with it."Always finish what you start"
This saying really fits the situation, because who knows what the guy could do if the MC let it go like that, and he could also be the reason for the sudden stampede, considering the timing.
I completely agreed. That's why I said in the previous chapter that the fight was unnecessary and that they should've focused on restraining the guy immediately, as they knew he was up to no good.Besides, the MC could finish the mushroom guy prior to the stampede, but nope, he's clearly just toying with him, and now he's facing the consequences of his stupidity, which is a typical trait of manga MCs nowadays...
Wow, if he can do that, that means he chose the wrong career. Could have been a one man army general. Also probably gets the authority and money doing nothing during peace.

That's just the lazy way of making Mushroom soup. Put it in a blender and hope for the bestHe just make a juice of the mushroom, but I think it's better to cook it...
