I remember this documentary series being kind of a big deal. Never expected to see it in manga form.

The series is led by Dougal Dixon and inspired by his works, he was very popular in Japan, there was a stop motion anime adaptation of After Man and I am pretty sure its the only country where Man After Man got reprinted.
Oh sick, I saw the premise and thought of Dougal Dixon and Man After Man. This feels like a blend of David Attenborough and the strange speculative evolution Dixon is known for. The story isn't all that weird. It could be about lions or any other predator species. It has the strange creatures, but isn't nearly as weird as some of the ideas from Man After Man. Maybe future chapters go there?

I enjoyed looking the world map. The east Africa rift completely separate from the continent. Lower tip of Japan combined to China. Australia is now connected to Asia.

Dougal Dixon...now there is a name I've not heard in a long time.
It doesn't get even close to the bizarre of Man After Man but it has its own flavor of weirdness by the last chapters.
Before reading this, I'm gonna post this and hype myself:
Sweet.
Pretty cool, cant remember the details but Life After People kinda similar.
The color art really sends the imagination flying.

BTW,they have never given up on the IP.

In 2024,they accounced a new project, and recently was talked about again in the fringe news, along with a new official YouTube that has slowly been releasing the 2003 series in HD.

Anyway, here's the Kimcartoon link for the full 2003 series, even links to the 2007 cartoon sequel.

And if y'all really want, someone uploaded this one year ago :

Now,no discussion about this can ever escape the series it straddled that Discovery channel decided to show again to the Asian audiences 'round 2008 or so alongside "The Future Is Wild",and that is the 2005 "Alien Planet".

Of course,Kimcartoon link strikes again.

Along with this sweet number from 12 years ago :

And to top it all off :
Along with this.
