Was there any point in allowing them to engage in worthless drama for a chapter? A real doctor would have immediately dashed into the delivery room upon hearing that the baby was in trouble, instead of standing there eating popcorn.

You haven't been reading long enough then. There's always room for drama in these martial stories. They practically live and breath off of it.

That was scary, thankfully both the child and mother are alive. I'm thankful our technology and knowledge grew over the years or else there would have been more deaths due to the lack of knowledge.

@Fushiginiku I mean she did do that. It just seemed like it took longer because we were reading (frame by frame). If it was in animation she'd probably have gone in in a few seconds.

Honestly, through this whole thing I can't but think: I came out strangling myself purple with the umbilical cord wrapped 'round my neck the old-fashioned way, and me and my mum lived just fine XD

(I realize it's more complicated than that, but still. :'p)

Also, it feels like the giant stomach gash of a cesarean should be even less of a big deal in this setting with its magical healing pills, than in modern medicine, but maybe that's just me.

Lucky! Missed the notification for a few chapters and ended up with no cliffhanger
