Das booben shcoopah! Yar!
It was offered a bounty for the slave trader's head too. I've would preferred if the MC had left after he had achieved his goal, to save the girl. The MC still got a "unknown power" in the end though. The adventurers need money and pretty much many of them is desperate to get the money. Their awareness of fear can be decrepit by experience, pride, necessities, foolishness, false-bravery in massive masses or recklessness. It's actually pretty realistic for people can be bought by money. They are all already being paid in-front. It's not verbal contract. There is none of them have 0 larks
And the way she died is only possible to be like this. Or Are you prefer that the mc to get unknown power without reason? That blasting magic from that mass of people would stun her for minutes and she was being slowed down by melee fighter. She can tackle that of course, but who would know that she would die by a scoop that can pierce anything? She just have bad luck. Everyone can die with bad luck
Thanks, I remember it now. If they were paid in advance, that's one more reason for them to just run away after the slave trader died. They were paid in advance, said so in this chapter. But yeah I agree I dunno why people think it was a good fight. It was alot of passiveness and deus ex machina writing.
In what way is her eating ppl a bad thing? She needs sustenance too, and from what I understood/remembered (it was prolly years ago they revealed this detail, by now) she only ate ppl who attacked her or that were her guild-designated subjugation targets. Or ppl who were abusing kids. Both are in the wrong. Myriad for kidnapping and slavery, Beloved Dragon Child for slaughtering and eating people wherever she goes.
She wouldn't be talking about how kids tastes better if that were the case.she only ate ppl who attacked her or that were her guild-designated subjugation targets. Or ppl who were abusing kids.
I think the author didn't know what to do with this characters cause if that was the plan why send them put them in a cage and beat them up if that was the plan ?Hmm. Myriad kidnapping children to give them a better place. Just little mistake :v
Author just added that last min to make us not feel bad for killing the person beating up the slave trader.Im glad the slaver is dead. I wasnt sure how I would feel about dragon lady dying until she revealed she knew what children taste like.
Nah, the fact that she ate children was already shown in the previous chapter.Author just added that last min to make us not feel bad for killing the person beating up the slave trader.
More prove the author had no Idea what to do with the story given the novel ends after this arc kinda showed authir gave up writing the story for this series.
It was already revealed from the moment of the dragon lady that she have eaten other people before, so she was already decided to be an antagonist whether Myriad died or not. And as shown at the scene of Myriad's death, she immediately go after the children after they were released from slavery because the job is done. This development wasn't good at all, It could have been resolved long ago if the adventurers had dealt with myriad. The girl was supposedly one of a handful of beings that you MUST avoid, but these people just took the mission of killing her for a little bit more of money than a mission of dealing with a lot weaker slaver? Also, it was shown that she can easily kill any of them but just stood there in the middle taking all of their attacks? There are so many holes in this arc that I felt like my interest in this was lowering with every new chapter. I also don't see why this fight was good, there wasn't any actual fight, she was just there taking damage until the very minute when she couldn't anymore.
Now that I remember, Are they even going to get paid now that myriad died? If I remember correctly it was just a verbal contract.
Did you skip some dialogues? She was always meant to be an antagonist. It was stated at the start that she has eaten people before and was definitely going to eat the slaves after they are free because the request was only to remove their slavery status. It was also shown that she went after the children right after Myriad died.Have mixed feelings about this fight.
The one who started this fiasco was Myriad Company who is the slaver company that kidnap the Scooper in Chp 13.
And yet, they somehow twist the narrative to the dragon child is the enemy that need to be put down.
Myriad.Co hired a lot of adventurers included the Scooper and Evil eyes with tons of cash.
So, who is in the wrong here?
