@Kaarme I mean, it'd be a helluva ballsy move on the author's part to kill the titular character off just 6 chapters in, but it's also an even better way to alienate the vast majority of your audience who are likely reading for said character. As a writer myself, I really can't blame most authors for not going that route; especially since the main character is the one you've (usually) labored the most on and, while it may be tons of fun to torment them for our readers' enjoyment, the idea of actually killing them off before the story is complete is physically painful.

Plus, most people prefer happy endings and in a story like this, that can only happen after many chapters of Lourié's fluffyness.

@Vincentius This did have a beginning suitable for a semi-edge manga, though. The MC died for no fault of his own, and even got laughed at when dying. In the new world bullies attacked him soon after waking up. But yes, otherwise this hardly fits into the revenge isekai category, so it might not be fitting for Professor Lourié to die. At least, like I said, just fearing she's dead might correct the MC's attitude a lot in the direction of taking that brutal new world more seriously.

@Kaarme I think it will; it's not uncommon in isekai for the MC to have a sort of adjusting period where they still don't quite believe that it's all real and that things work very differently than they did back home. Up until now, I'd say the MC was still in that period: he believes this is all real, but he hasn't really accepted the ramifications of that belief. This should give him that little nudge he's missing.

I think another part of it might be that he needs to get full control over his Evil Eye for it all to really sink in, as it hasn't manifested outside that one instance, which a mind struggling to hold onto its rational foundation could easily write off as a fluke.

Worst part is the raw manga is only up to chapter 7 so not like you can really jump ahead to see if the poor girl will survive.

No worry, she's alive. The manga may take a few chapters to get there, but he finds out those three are responsible, confronts them in the dungeon, makes them spill the beans and then kills them. Later he jumps into the hole himself(he drops into water) and eventually finds her.
