Am I worried that taking a bouquet doesn't mean anything? Kind of. Though I think they'll make it mean something.

Mitsuki has conquered her gay panic, hooray! Unfortunately her general panic remains in full force. Unc you trusted her with that knife!

After the "I'll follow you" from Joe and the way stories usually go (aka couples ending up together and the parellel between now and him not following Kana before) I am genuinely scared Joe is going to move to LA. Because if this happens, there are only two options, either Mitsuki stays or she goes with him. The second one doesn't make sense, because they wouldn't part her and Aya, and obviously Aya's parents wouldn't simply let her move away with her gf of a few days when she just graduated (unless she goes to college there). But I also don't think that Joe going without Mitsuki is a good option. I know she's gradueted now so she can tecnically live alone, but I think that Mitsuki isn't really ready to stay alone, specially since Joe would be so far away. Their income apparently depends on the CD shop (which we don't see in any way Mitsuki taking it over as a posibility) and I love her, but she clearly don't have the skills to do everything on her own. Besides that, I just don't want them to be apart. From what we know, Joe is the only family Mitsuki has (btw I'm also worried that the story is ending and we don't know what happened to her parents) and Joe clearly cares A LOT about her, their relationship seems to be something really important to both of them and I don't really see them living so far away from each other so early

If we're lucky, maybe Kana is going back to L.A. to make the arrangements to move back to Japan :haa:
I think Joe's the one who's gonna move, he stayed back for Mitsuki but now that she's about to become an adult and go on her path, he is free to pursue his goals and desires. As he said "From now on, wherever you go Kanna, I swear I'll follow you".

This could strengthen Mitsuki's character imo, and give Aya more things to do, I think it's gonna be something like Aya helping her manage the shop or with the whole "I can't even cut vegetables" situation. Though the move would likely not be instant, and take like months to a year, allowing for a more gradual change. As for the finances I doubt Joe's without savings given finances haven't been an issue so far iirc, Kana probably earns enough to pay for her too given the cost of living differences between Japan and California, and how she was willing to take Mitsuki along. Though I don't foresee the CD shop closing down.

Yeah... that's what I'm afraid of. Not from a narrative standpoint, mind you.

I'm still concerned by this author using LOS ANGELES as the place for Japanese people to move to :worry:
