Things ending soon on a nice note so author can go on to different things and themes that they’ve been exploring in their extra illustrations?

Or continuing the story even though that will inevitably move the pair onto more complex and mature situations like (but perhaps not explicitly) “Blue Yuri”?

I’m not sure we have much other choice. Sure they could keep things going along these themes and feels for a while but it feels like the creative juices would run out quite quickly if that were the case.

Blue Yuri doomerism is so funny to me, because ATP it's only brought up at their yuriest of moments. Those two could literally propose to eachother at the same time then have a full page kiss, and people will say "it's so fucking over the Blue Yuri approaches"

Covering her eye with a falling petal(?) seems rife with symbolism I have yet to figure out. I think that's what's giving folks pause since it suggests some hidden emotion or secret that's going to be bittersweet

There are some future "what if" illustrations by the mangaka, in blue color instead of green, and its...not looking like things are doing well relationship wise for the girls. Its 8 years in the future.

There are some 5 years in the future ones too but thats in green and things are still doing well.

All things end at some point, its not a bad thing.

It would be more of a disservice to force it to continue, and it clearly not being well planned anymore, instead of giving it a proper end when the time comes.

Whether that's now or a bit later on, it should still end naturally not forced to continue.
