I felt it too. How they're getting a little fight over Mitsuki buying a home theater, in addition to the things you mentioned. I think it's unlikely they broke up. Bickering and misunderstanding is part of being in a relationship. But if this transitions from "Cute teens don't know how to confess to their crush" to "Late teens/early 20's young adults don't know how to have an adult relationship" comedy I'd be happy. We're all a little jumpy hearing about the "Blue Yuri" disaster hanging over us like the sword of Damocles.

Small hints that Mitsuki is an impulse shopper. All those piercings and tats cost money. Is Aya the responsible one?

Man, as much as I love these two, their taste in bands kills me everytime, but only because the story is written like it's this super underground mega cool stuff and then it's fucking Oasis or Coldplay of all things lmao. Bless them.

Japan is the place where punk went to after being seemingly dead, there's virtually no recognition of that underground scene. It's always references to mainstream western rock, as if there wasn't any 80's metal/punk/rock pieces from Japan. I had the feeling at least the uncle would be listening to some X Japan, Buck-tick if going soft, and perhaps stuff like Dead End, D'Erlanger, or even Gastunk if going full-force. But I guess not, and this remains shoujo-leaning.

In this manga it feels like if you walked up to the roughest looking guy and asked what he's listening to he would answer, "Oh, niche stuff, it's BABYMETAL" or something lol
