As far as I can tell the sequel LN (which is marketed as Volume 4 in the series) is already out, and this is the advertisement for the comic adaptation of that sequel.

No clue why it's coming out now while the main comic is still being made though LOL. Like I haven't read the novels so I'm not certain how much is left to go but surely the sequel comic will spoil some things the main comic has yet to get to? The first chapter is already available online (in Japanese) and everything.

I investigated a bit and it seems we're still on vol. 2 out of 3 for the "main" story as Connie hasn't been framed and posed for execution yet. I don't know how far on vol. 2 we are but the story seems to point to the latter part of it.

Still, main LN vol. 5 is apparently in the works (there's a volume with side stories marketed in some places as vol. 5 though).

So we've got a lot of Scarlett left to see and enjoy.

Basically, the main story ends in the LN volume three. This manga adaptation is still a bit far away from that. There is a side story that is technically "volume 4" and that was about it. Then the series changed publishers, the whole thing was republished and it was announced it would continue. After that, we got the anime announcement.

About not translating the side stories: I think that's better left to the official version.

I suppose the new publisher may have realized that Eris has potential (even more with the anime announced) and therefore it's because of that there's more content planned?

Thank you so much for the translation! I can't completely agree with you choice not to translate the extra LN stories. It's a lot of work and leaving them untranslated gives everyone a good reason to get the official version should it be published in our country.
