Its not too hard to remember since the plotline for the storyteller is relatively simple, an abused child tells ghost stories to the creature in his room. I think what hes doing is performing a ritual that he originally started just for fun while not thinking much of it but at a certain point things started going too far. Things like his plush started being possessed and for the creature to defend the story teller, it hurts the parents but itll also stop anyone who tries to stop the ritual. It also possesses people that can be easily influenced like the little girl
