The logic of the temple and the bullshit about healing magic is garbage :
"They use another power they need to die because I'm very villain person look my face is scary!"

The story is too Manichean, it's boring.
The author is using inspiration from the spanish inquisition or the religion in europe and it's not well used.
Even in propaganda you don't have this level of Manichean!

Yes the art is kinda pretty but it's possible to find stories with good art and good plot...:bleh:

Man, the human empire in a bunch of isekai manga are just the worst. Even in manga where they're not actively subjugating the neighboring races you still find a bunch of dickheads up the totem pole
I would not be surprised if human supremacy ideals would pop up if we had other humanoid lifeforms to rival us IRL.

I mean look at how we treat actual sentient life like dolphins and chimpanzees.

Never heard of the word manichean before. Perhaps I'm a captive of the art, the silly story doesn't put me off. Though I am just fond of Good vs. Evil stories. If I understood the meaning correctly, "From Far Away," Is a wonderful manichean type story. Highly recommended. Hope you're able to find another story that appeals to you better!

I think it's pretty rational.

In this universe, humans are literally god's chosen people. Before they got the gift, they were utterly owned by everyone to the point where the god of this world gave them a freebie, then they had to luck into a massive plague to surpass the other races.

Of course, the human nation misuse it and their god decides to level the playing field (not by giving every race healing magic; by giving knowledge of medicine through the main character).

Consider all of the other races shown thus far. You have ancient dragons that could annihilate armies. Dwarven crafts demolish anything a human could make. Academics? Try a race that lives for hundreds of years. Textiles? A single spider girl can weave out clothing better.

Healing magic is the only thing the human nation has. You can see how much they feel their worth is in chapter 5. The fact that they can't heal the big dragon lady doesn't fill them with the attitude of "unfortunately, there is nothing we can do" or "oh well, she was only a dragon and not a human." They immediately shit their pants, think that the dragons will wage a war over it, and they will be executed.

And it's not like all humans are ha-ha evil. It's shown that some are misguided and some do not agree with the philosophy of the human nation.

Those people from the church also still don’t understand there’s difference from Amami teaching hygiene to prevent common sickness, and you still need a doctor/healing mage to deal with it when people actually got sick/hurt.

Doesn't matter since that's not what they care about. Less sick/injured = less healing magic needed = less authority/monies to them.

Eh, it somewhat has a okay-ish premise.
It's somewhat understandable that humans are the only one that can use healing magic. If you take that away, humans are nothing special.
Plus, from years of oppressions, the grudge hraboured might not be pretty.

Protecting the status quo is not that bad of a plot.

What they dont' know that even modern medicine comes, healing mage would be needed as well. Not needing antibiotics and eliminate the chance of superbugs? Super awesome

The Arachnid girl creeps me out. Not that I have any problem with spiders, girls, or spider like girls, but her anatomy is so abhorrent. She has two normal legs with shoes and the rest are barefoot. She has only six legs so her arms count as a leg pair. It looks like, instead of an ass, she got an extra pair of legs per cheek.

It is like the artist drew a standard goth loli, and then suddenly realized it is suppose to be an arachnid and add the extra legs at the last minute.
