if isekai is thrash, this one is 24K gold plated thrash. im actually hyped for the next surgery and the implications, because yeah, in a fantasy setting dwarves should suffer a LOT from that.

the logic of the world and how it relates with the knowledge the doctor has is solid, however creatures bigger than elephants should be "inmune" to cancer.

It's a bit of a stretch to say one doctor can practice most medicine, especially without references, but the idea of a learned doctor going to some place where medicine is less prominently developed to help and set up a free clinic is such a fun, hopeful story. I wish it dealt a little more with xeno-biology! Amami has gotten "lucky" that the creatures he's encountered are human-like internally despite outward differences.

What is with this…how the hell did this incredible art style just go so fucking raw every single chapter…

The expert analysis is incredible too, just…the entire production value of this manga is so crazy to me. All the characters have super unique designs, despite a few same face syndromes, it’s so crazy. I don’t know how else to describe this.

you know the feeling that you got suck inside the manga. Just read words by words, panels to panels? Yeah. This is one of those. You just want to read more.

My only complaint about this manga is the current cover art, I was behind like two chapters cause I don't associate the archbishops face with this manga and thought it was something else I was following lol.

Other than that top tier really.

I swear to god this is one of the most immersive manga i have ever read. You get sucked in the panels especially when it's the treatment/surgery scenes. You literally feel like you're there. It's intense and nerve racking but very satisfying. Here hoping for amamiya and the archbishop to collab on an operation in the future. 9.5/10 so far amazing manga!

Didn't even finish reading chapter 1...
This is a f-ing isekai masterpiece in the making, calling it now. Literally flawless so far, and that much is so so rare in this genre.
I'm going back to reading this gem now

WHY DID I DROP THIS SERIES? spoiler alert

I really liked this show at the beginning, the feeling it gave me was that it was something I had never seen before. But that feeling didn't last long.

🔴 After the introduction of the Pope as a character, the appearances of the protagonists became increasingly scarce.
🔴 The church plot took up more and more space, leaving the premise "I am a doctor, and I was chosen by the deity of another world 'to heal and educate with my knowledge' aside
🔴 The constant growth of frustration made me roll my eyes every time new chapters came.

Until the day of the attack and the attempted murder of the protagonist arrived and it was revealed that the Pope is ACTUALLY a good guy.

I was so angry!

Well, then I dropped the series.

You could just use the spoiler button for that instead of needing a disclaimer.

Some of the takes in here are just wild. I never thought I'd see someone argue that STDs are a reasonable 'consequence of their actions', implying they shouldn't be treated or something? Occupation-related conditions and injuries exist all over, not just in sex work. Since the MC is about idealistic as one can be about treating everyone he can, I'll just say he probably disagrees with that sentiment. I'm sure he would prefer to treat EVERYONE, including the people who originally spread it. If that ideology bothers you, then I'm guessing this whole story is really gonna get under your skin.

As for me, I'm finding this isekai to be more rewarding than I expected. I can understand wanting more uncertainty because someone who always succeeds generally does get boring, but considering this is rooted in more practical application of skill and knowledge I'm more willing to accept 100% success rate since it's not just handwaving 'I'm going to break all the known limits (like RPG stats) and be the most powerful entity ever' stuff where that usually applies.

If I did have any concerns, it's more in the tokenization of each race supplies a specific thing for an ideal fantasy hospital, and THAT feels a little too... convenient? Contrived? I'm not at the point of being disatisfied with where it is now but I think it'll be hard to balance that vs the original claim "anyone can learn medicine". It's not a dealbreaker but it does sort of go up against the premise when everyone has a specific niche by virtue of their race.
