I really love how he thought of Paulina from time to time.

Also Sir Aino. 😂😂😂 I think he wants to smack Lucius face for relentless affection towards Paulina. HAHAHA.

I wonder if there's a way for Paulina to become the empress. :( Huhu. I'm quite worried.

Damn I was really hoping there was a way to cure her infertility. Boy that's why she's y such a good knight, cause she doesn't have deal with that

So this infertility issue... It's fake right? I remember Paul was talking about her cycle and that the people of this land have a weird superstition that if a woman see or touches blood (something like that) they will become infertile? Is it something like this or does she really have a problem like that? 🤨

Oh for all that is holy i hope the infertility is just bullshit to add unnecessary drama, since i DEMAND to see their babies, other concubines are ok since that's just how monarchies and especially emperor level monarchies are but i want her to be the kick ass fighting empress with war princess daughters.

@ooPh9quu it's fcking stupid of you to say 'eww infertile', it's not disgusting to be infertile, a woman's life doesn't surround her fertility or infertility
@Sardeed yeah I also want to see kids, but apparently you can loose your period or have an early menopause when you have too much physical strain, but yess I need the war princess daughters and kick as fighting empress

@Sardeed It's unlikely to be bullshit. She has been training for over 20 years, soldier for like 16, on the constant conquest march for 10. It's fairly likely she could've ended up infertile. Not so much because of physical strain but army on the move living conditions.

@gladiatorua i called bullshit on the unneeded drama part not that it would be illogical, since WE ALL want her to be empress and empress is seldom a women that is infertile not because emperor are dicks...most of them....some....but because their vassals demand a continuity of the bloodline and the ones with the emperors children and having backing become empresses normally.
Now having fertility issues are as likely as not having them, and nobody would even have though about that unless the author put this possibility in front of us,creating unneeded drama.
If she needs to prove her superiority to the other vassals and show she is fit to be a empress or needs to move away form the empress position or even part with the emperor since they see her as a unnecessary distraction. and then that is fine and ok drama in my opinion but just saying maybe everything is nill and void and we may get a bad/sad ending, just to make the readers panic is a dick move.

@Sardeed This isn't that kind of story though. I doubt she wants to be an empress. And she isn't fit to be empress either. I am not entirely sure that the ship you want is ever going to sail.

i really hope she's actually infertile and that it's not just added for dramatic flair. it would make sense for her to be infertile to be quite honest

I keep on seeing this "she does too much exercising so she's permanently infertile" in korean manhwas/novels. I did some actual research and its mostly bullshit tbh. There is a decreased chance of conception - but only when you are trying to have a baby, if she lighten her workout for a bit she would be fine. And the same problem affects men too which never gets mentioned. Female reproductive organs aren't made of glass!! Ladies you don't have to worry about this, do whatever exercise you want.

@GrandfatherClock

Yeah, it's complete pseudoscience meant to keep women subservient. Harsh conditions (heavy exercise, malnutrition) can delay the onset of puberty, and heavy exercise can alter periods a bit, but there is no permanent damage. She's either infertile for some other reason (some people are just born that way, and that's OK) (also, how would she even know she's infertile if she still has periods?) or this is some in-universe superstition/lack of true medical understanding that'll be proven false.

@GrandfatherClock ah thanks for your research into it. The idea was previously introduced into this series but only as pure superstition. Since this time it was confirmed in the series as fact, I was wondering where that came from. I do wonder how they could possibly know in this era though?
