Did you ever work or do chores near anything around the volume of a lawnmower? Older lawnmowers were JUST over the limit to damage hearing (without being even close to loud enough to cause pain), so that kind of thing could cause seemingly random tinnitus. It's why lawnmower manufacturers worked hard to reduce the noise--that 5-10 decibel reduction was crucial to prevent newer generations from getting tinnitus.

I only know this because it's exactly what happened to my mother. She worked in a school and never flew anywhere, went to any concerts, or listened to much music. Her mowing the lawn was the sole cause. (It didn't help that she didn't use any hearing protection.)
Nope, but i do have a habit using headphones when at work. My doctor early diagnose was because of this habit, he said i had a mild irritation of the ear canal, but weeks passed the irritation has gone but not the tinnitus and the doctor really confused, i have no infection and the only thing seems wrong was that irritation, nothing's wrong with my eardrum membrane either so my doctor told me some worst case scenario, that's the reason i got depressed in the first place, hearing those scenarios

If it's bad enough it could be permanent. But it can also dissipate overtime. Though, most people learn to live with it.
I've had tinnitus my entire life. I didn't even know most people don't constantly hear a ringing noise until I became an adult.

That is an amazingly accurate portrayal of tinnitus. It's absolutely maddening when it first appears. First few months when it appeared drove my productivity to the ground because I couldn't focus on anything due to tinnitus driving me nuts. In the end I got used to it being here all the time. Unpleasant but usual.
Mine is a high-pitched ringing and not a roaring, but yeah. This chapter was dead on.

In her case she's got a good chance of recovery if she rests.

Stress or fatigue related illness are generally recoverable at early stages by getting enough rest.

Physical related, like tinnitus from loud noises isn't really treatable.
Right. Stress tinnitus (usually) affects the operation of the brain and may reverse. Loud-noise tinnitus is due to damaged nerve "hairs" in the cochlea and those nerves don't grow back.
