I dislike "fairy tales" like this where there is no repercussions for the evil done.

Her entire childhood was as a slave, her mother was assaulted, and she simply forgives the kingdom for all this?

I sort of want a story where such a Cinderella (rightfully) peaces out and leaves the kingdom to its (deserved) fate.
