I'm a little confused, is there any reason that 2nd prince shouldn't just not follow the crown prince's orders? Yeah if the crown prince is pardoned because there's no proof, he could still inherit. But if the 2nd prince just...doesn't follow his orders to get the flowers, or tells the king what the crown prince is planning, isn't there a chance he could get dubbed the new heir to the throne instead? Yeah they're brothers or whatever, but if my sibling choked me out and tried to kill someone who wasn't a criminal, I wouldn't be doing favors for them...
