I can't help but wonder; why did this sort of a serious, dedicated person -- started working for a no-name random company? You'd expect this sort of a driven individual to either have their own company, or pursue a very specific career.

I swear, everytime the trope of "You rejected the most popular guy in the school" is brought up, I am once again reminded of how wierd everyone (atleast in Japanese high schools) is about preference
