I disagree. I don't think that was what she was getting at. How I read it, especially with page 31 isn't that MC should never give love a try. It was the opposite.
"It may have ended up not working out and resulted in heartbreak, but I don't think falling in love with that girl was a mistake."
She's saying MC should give love a try regardless, and offering to be a shoulder to cry on in case things go wrong. I don't think the stylist did anything wrong, she simply tried to give advice from past experience.
