Couldn't wait until the end of the chapter to come here comment about this.
It's strange seeing the girl talking asking about the sound on the movie while talking normally with the other girl without showing any signs of having any difficulty in hearing her words.
Also, shouldn't she heard AND feel the "loud bang"?
But more importantly, she could watch movies much better at home.
Disks and Streaming offers a lot of subtitles, and they frequently include subtitles that also tell the most important sound effects at the moment.
did u read this manga with ur eyes closed or something. she can talk and understand what saki’s saying because she’s reading her lips, and jus because she may feel vibrations from loud sounds doesn’t mean she knows WHAT they are. and her hearing is veryyy limited, she may pick up on the voice of some people (mind u, in a 1-1 setting, not in a big room with others) but we also don’t know how the room in the theater affected the sound, what frequency the pitch was, etc. which may have affected her ability to identify what the pitch was.
also, deaf/HOH people should be able to watch movies in movie theaters. they usually don’t come out on streaming sites until months after and what if someone wants to avoid spoilers.. it jus makes sense to implement accessibility devices cuz it’s not like the theater would lose money, it’d expand their customer base.
