Thank you so much for the chapter translation, and happy new year!

It seems like Saki's avoidance of talking about herself might extend to her family as well as her sexuality too. Curious to see where that goes. Kanon isn't putting the puzzle pieces together yet, but now she's looking at the board and trying to find the connections so it's still a step in the right direction.

Thanks for the translation! Its so exciting seeing Kanon put so many of the pieces together and still not quite able to figure out whats going on with her feelings. It feels like she could have a eureka moment any chapter now, probably moments after realizing that gay people exist.

I was just thinking about this manga earlier and I open MangaDex to see this update. Thank you for your work!

I’ve thought about this for a while now - sometimes the drawing style is borderline scary/creepy. If you take the last panel out of context (Kanon blushing with wide eyes), I would’ve thought it was from a horror manga lol.

Anyway, I love how their feelings and realizations are developing. Excited to see what comes next.

i love a slow burn when its done really well and this is definitely great but god it's been 8 volumes already ToT i hope we get some good progress now (and it better not end right as they get together because genuinely that will tank my opinion of this series. i'm just sick of that trope)

This chapter definitely helped push Kanon further into realizing her feelings, even if she still isn't able to put a name on the emotions just yet. Her internal vision of Saki is also extremely cute, I wonder what Saki would think about being viewed as prince-like by Kanon, though it's easy to see how Kanon comes to that view. Her reactions to Saki's being dressed up was amazing, especially how she appeared completely stunned at first sight.

A few serious things did pop up, a bit more evidence showing that something seemed to happen in the past that derailed her mom's life, an unused dress that looks like one you wear to an expensive restaurant or event but Saki has never seen hints to it being purchased before Saki was born but the event never happening. Kanon's continued realization that Saki never talks about herself or her past is definitely pushing her to ask questions, though I wonder who she will get answers from. Personally I think it's going to come out that the Saki Kanon knows is very different from Saki even a year ago.

Also setting up the sports day coming up is good, it will be cute seeing Kanon and Saki probably both panic during it and we might get progress.

PS: Thank you so much for translating the chapter. Reading it via Google translate is not great and it's nice to get more of the nuances.
Another thing I want to add to this is that it seemed like Saki was outed in middle school or at least there was someone who knew/suspected she was gay and confronted her about it. It's been in a handful of flashback scenes though out the manga and I feel like we are actually going to learn more about Saki from that girl who knew she was gay because she's gonna show up to the piano recital. How or why does this girl from Saki's past know about it? I have a feeling it's because of the dad and daughter duo this chapter is related to her or have some connection that will cause her to show up. Then again I am insane.

Damn, Kanon has no chance, she has it bad and yet she isn't aware of it. Saki too stronk. Saki looked amazing too. Really elegant.
That stylish is doing God's work.
Excellent chapter, and thanks for the scanlation.

I agree that the middle school classmate, or someone else from middle school, appearing is likely to be something that moves things forward. We know she seems to have figured it out based on Saki never looking at the guys when she glanced at others, hence why Saki let her bangs grow out to hide her face. And we can presume that it did not turn out well considering her memories of the encounter seem traumatic and are a large part of why she fled to an all-girls highschool.

This is why I think whatever moves this forward is going to hurt Saki at the start, my current theory is someone from middle school sees news about the recital and tracks her down to "warn" her classmates and outs her in the worst way publicly. Considering the bundle of nerves she is with her mix of fear, anxiety, and guilt over her feelings for Kanon, she won't react well.
