Thanks for the upload!!
I'm super excited for this series, I hope it goes long and keeps up the pace, I would be devastated if this got axed.

idk if it was the grammar or my brain wasn't braining but i didn't get this chapter. To my understanding this camera girl wants to photograph these two because she felt something special about their relationship? Kanon doesn't want that because she either misunderstood her intentions as bringing attention to her hearing and/or feels like her feelings for Saki are being put on display even though she herself doesn't understand them? Did I get that right?
I think it's just a confusing situation.
I don't know what "camera-wally" means, but I am guessing it's some for of Britishism.
It does end in "y" so it could be Aussie?

I am pretty sure this translation uses UK English, though.

Because Saki is such a low-key character personality, a lot of folks miss that Kuzushiro has sprinkled tons of hints about her future development, little details that’ll definitely come into play later. Saki’s got some serious trauma, and we catch glimpses of it, like in Chapter 11’s flashback during the sleepover: she’s in the bathtub, terrified of being "found out" by Kanon, or that anxiety attack in Chapter 20 when she thinks Kanon discovered her secret.
Right now, the story’s told entirely from Kanon’s perspective, which turns Saki into a total "mystery" (literally, the chapter’s title!). But that’s intentional! Saki’s closed-off vibe isn’t just a personality quirk, it’s baked into the story’s structure. Now, it’s Kanon’s turn to dive into Saki’s world, uncover her past, and untangle her traumas. That’s why the POV shifts, it’s all about peeling back Saki’s layers.
Honestly, Kuzushiro as writer and mangaka has seriously impressed me with how they weaving this narrative. Such a cool approach!
Saki lives up to the title “amayo no tsuki” we have always had her in front and at the same time so hidden…

i absolutely love your perspective on this! Kuzushiro has done such an amazing job on this manga with all the details, everytime i reread this there’s always something i missed and it makes me love it even more because it shows how much details Kuzushiro put into this and i love seeing people’s opinions about this manga and what they think is gunna happen and honestly im loving your comments the best!

It's more that she doesn't understand what about her relationship with Saki is there but invisible to most people. They're obviously just friends, so what's hidden?
I really don't understand why she's so mad,

If what you say is true, shouldn't she still be able to understand that it's just being models? It's not exactly the photographer straight up tells her "there's something that isn't there between you guys"

I'm so confused bro, is she just offended or what?

Kanon's mad is a cluster of emotions with a common root: Kanon’s experience with her disability. Although the chapter makes it clear that Hamaoka neither knew nor suspected Kanon’s condition (Until Kanon told her), Kanon interpreted that the "difference" she had noticed was precisely her deafness. This triggered an immediate sense of rejection in Kanon. To understand her reaction, it’s crucial to consider her story: after suddenly losing her hearing overnight, she went from being a piano prodigy to a girl forced to reinvent her identity and survival in a world that now felt alien.

When Hamaoka clarifies that her request had nothing to do with Kanon’s disability, but rather the "something precious" she shares with Saki, Kanon’s frustration shifts. Now, a deeper confusion that can explain in... "Does she see something special in us when even I don’t understand this different feeling I have toward Saki?" Yet both reactions (the initial rejection and this new irritation) stem from the same source: her self-perception.

Kanon harbors romantic love for Saki but cannot conceive herself capable of experiencing such love. This is laid bare in Chapter 31 during her conversation with Miura-sensei, where she reflects: «But even love, I feel like I can reach her, so it’s not like I’ve fallen for her... If anything, because someone is far from you, you can fall for them...» She believes love is unattainable; until now, her only exposure to romance has come through literature and fiction, not personal experience. Her disability didn’t just alter her physical reality, it reshaped her self-perception and how she relates to her surroundings and loved ones. Thus, while struggling to adapt to the world, she also fights the notion that love (in all its forms) might still be within her reach. In fact, it’s right beside her, whispering in her ear, and she’s on the verge of realizing it.

Given that the series got nuked from MD, what plan do you have moving forwards @thesoundofspace ? In the loosest terms that won't get you in trouble, I suppose. I for one have enjoyed your translation and somewhat prefer it over the official, which I do have now.
My heart dropped to my pants when I opened tachiyomi to reread the last few chapters only to find only ch.36 available lmao
Sooo.. what now?
(Also what the fuck tachiyomi, what's the point of me 'downloading' chapters when I can't even access them in the app if chapters get deleted from the website?)

I hope it moves right in front of her, otherwise Kanon will never be able to hear it whispering  all kidding aside, yeah, I agree with your interpretation.
