I don't know if this adaptation is going to do it in the next chapter or not, but I would highly recommend watching episode 9 because there was a lot that wasn't put into this chapter. And this goes not just for you, but for anyone else that hasn't.

To put in perspective of what it adapted, this chapter is basically the time stamps of 8:55 - 13:10, and then jumps to the first 15-20 seconds of episode 10 (the opening portion is coming across Val in the carriage & talking in the bedroom, though the set up in that regard is different).

What transpires from 13:10 till 21:55 (end of the episode) is the entirety of the driving motivation for Val. So at the very least people should watch that.

I don't think this is directly the case (a statement I make based only on my knowledge here and in the anime [which doesn't highlight anything actually specific about her]). Going on what Stale said, I would imagine her "sensitiv(ity) to the true nature of people" allows her to at least subconsciously link to others in an empathetic fashion; and this is likely what's happening between her and Pride.

It's been shown here so far that only the Queen has the gift of foresight, but that only seems to pertain to the world in its "vanilla" state. Now that we have NuPride, the future as it pertains to Pride, is entirely unknown:

Certainly the largest divergence is Stella being a thing, but yes I do also enjoy Tiara getting to actually be a character.

If we're going to put things in a simple manner, then yes, you're entirely correct. I suppose what I wrote in my head but not with my fingers is that I felt the show gave it a delivery that was designed to connect to you emotionally. I suppose in the end that will vary from person to person, but I got the intended affect personally and would hope others would feel it too.

Here's perhaps a basic breakdown:

It covers pretty much what we've seen so far in these 20 chapters. There are some slight variances, such as everything surrounding Gilbert and Maria kind of condensed down to 1.5 episodes. As I said before, the end here puts things right at the start of episode 10, and then 10 & 11 will deal with the rescue of Kemmet & Seffec, and the rest. Episode 12 I feel functions as an interlude to bridge to a possible S2, but at the very least is a good push towards the novels.

Only that, as I mentioned, Stella isn't introduced there so if you were to jump straight to them that might make one think "wait, what?"
