Leaving aside her disturbing face, I hate these plots were nonchalantly place their previous murderer as a love interest.

She should be focusing on improving herself if she is going to rule one day if she actually don't want such a bad ending instead of being fixated on taking in the killer.

Plots where the mc falls in love with the person who killed them in their previous life tend to feel like the mc has Stockholm syndrome, but this one feels more like the mc understands that she wasn't the best queen and why people hated her enough to kill her

@Chiyamii It's also a nice touch that she mostly remembers it as one would a dream. So even if her previous self loved her husband enough to get killed for him, this current self only has a vague recollection of it.

@Chiyamii I agree with you. Usually it annoyed me but it felt more natural in this story. It doesn't feel like forced. She knew she made a big mistake of ignoring her duties and acknowledge it. She also didn't instantly change to be a whole different person who seeks revenge who's good at social standing and stuff but instsead she sees that her killer is a capable person who just didn't get the chance to show his ability and use him as her aide.

@Lunaion It's still the first chapter. I think we will see more of her development in the future. Also about the killer she actually did a good thing there. Right now her killer is a noble who is capable on many things including the things she ignored in her previous live but shunned and ignored that he can not participate in the circle. Making him as her aide is like killing two birds with one stone. He most likely won't kill her, as her aide he could voice his opinion, a secure position in the noble circle, and Alicia could learn how to be a good ruler from him.

It's good that she was able to view other's in a different light, instead on fixating on what happened previously. She also understood his troubles and admitted her own mistakes. This is honestly kinda refreshing to read. I'm invested in this.

@Simpleton I agree. I also love how she remembers it as a nightmare.

I really like this. I love how she was so scared of him because she had a dream about him killing her but when she saw his smile and no trace of hatred on his face she realized this was not a dream. It was reality and we dont let our nightmares control our reality. Dying by falling off a building in my dream doesnt make me fear heights when I wake up.

I also love how she realized he was an outstanding person (though I think her father praising him helped too) and decided to get him on her side. She knows he won't go against the wishes of the people if he was willing to kill her and so she trusts his intentions to a degree.

Honestly, I don't mind her being civilized with someone who killed her before because she was in the wrong but falling in love with him is cringe. This is an issue I have with a lot of stories. You can never forget being stabbed and killed by someone.
I ship the couple from Doctor Elise but she suffered from nightmares for the longest time and eventually, the webtoon brushed over it but that'll never end. That is just human nature.

I wish these stories didn't involve the killing part. If he banished her or something I might not complain but remembering how you took your last breath in agony because of someone, even if they're not in the wrong, is shitty when you're just acting lovey-dovey with them nafterwards.

So she was a useless Queen blinded by love for her foreign husband that she must have left solely in charge of the people he probably couldn't connect with, also a lover he didn't hide. No wonder she died
Even in the end she was still spouting nonsense. Honestly surprised she's not delusional about this redo thinking its about making Fritz fall in love with her this time. And lol her face as a child is extra animated when upset and nobody cares, she's showing such a traumatic expression how does no one see that?

"it's not this Clovis yet"
this makes me think she still didn't realise how wrong she was/her fault in her previous life.

I don't think they'd just kill someone of royal lineage like that. Wouldn't a public execution after denouncing her crimes be a better thing to do to capture the public sentiment and pave way for those who'd rule next?
