Also, I still much prefer Marie. Esther had a chance to move in and she ran away. Marie went straight in with no regard for human life and Esther decided to block her. If you are going to be that possessive, don't be a coward.

Fist of all WTF 9 pages? A WN/LN adaptation should not be that short per chapter (because wn/ln have a lot of exposition), at least makes it 20+ pages per chapter. Second of all why does the mustache guy wants to kill her so fucking bad, she's just a low ranking adventurer ffs, and wouldn't the guild be having a bad reputation if many of their adventurer dies because the request isn't accurately given to the adventurer base on ranks? And thirdly, what is up with drop dead gorgeous girl falling head over heals to an average looking guy in isekai story

@Rel_: Here is my views on your questions.

It isn't that uncommon nowadays for Manga adaptation based on WN/LN, to have very few pages per chapters. I have even seen some which release like 5 pages per chapters per month (or in around 2-3 months). Mainly to do with the fact that there is a lack of Drawing Artist, than the amount of WN/LN out their which could be converted into a Manga. Also, the publishers don't really want to lose a lot by making a regular or release more pages, if it doesn't turn popular and the Manga adaptation gets Axe'd.

Maybe its probably related to some reputation thing, like
- a Female Adventurer having more achievements than a Male Adventurers; so he is trying to make her fail or get her name into mud, and create a situation so that in the future no more Female Adventurer join in.
- the Guild Master wants to change the job format of the Guild by trying to get Commoners away from it, so that the whole Adventurer Guild becomes a institution for Nobles or High Profile people (aka., to increase the power and scope of the influential's).
- being an Adventurer is a job with risk, so people failing or losing their life isn't a big issue, it would just show that the area is more dangerous than normal, which could cause the area to either get more inflow of stronger Adventurers or get the area totally abandoned by the Guild (because they can't handle it), causing the area to fall and possibly get used for some other work

And thirdly, what is up with drop dead gorgeous girl falling head over heals to an average looking guy in isekai story

- That's mainly to do with the fact that, normally Girls/Women (or Men for that matter) don't really fall head over heals for average looking people. And most of these Isekai stories are actually written by people who are Otaku and Single, who never really managed to find a partner because of their own personality, physical features and status of income. So, using themselves as a reference, they create story where they would be able to live a life they wanted to live which in reality they couldn't.

Really feels like the author forgot to add some internal dialogue of why the guild manager has it in for Esther so bad. Considering she has been shown to be fairly reliable and knowledgeable, besides the overused always flustered because she doesn’t accept feelings but, how she doesn’t see him being shady or knowing MC isn’t normal that she can catch up this way is dumb. That’s why Marie all the way. Might be a good digger but also likes him for who he is and isn’t afraid to show it lol
