It doesn't say she joined in on calling him that after he left, it doesn't say that she defended him, it doesn't say that the others called him that again. The story says that she started the "Parasite" thing.

Necrobumping since I'm currently reading the novel. The mage guided the elf into saying it through her machinations. from intentionally sitting near the MC where he could hear it, and presenting the topic where the elf has to say the word "parasite", which she thought was the literal definition of it, so that MC would think that they are talking about him.
