yeah... I'm only putting my thoughts in spoilers because people keep reporting my thoughts as spoilers.... anyhow...

I'm getting the impression that Dorothy is the MC's sister in her first life.
I'm betting Dorothy died in the first world due to whatever reason she was in the hospital for, gets isekaied and being the doormat that she is, she failed to live up to the god's needs.
So the god goes back to first world and recruit's Dorothy's sister thinking she is probably the best one to support Dorothy and help her fulfill whatever crap the god needs to be done here.

But that doesn't help anyone. Dorothy is still a doormat and the MC still has that stupid persecution complex.
I figure the ML/MC is going to end up fulfilling what crap the god needed Dorothy & the Prince to do because the author can't figure out a better way to write this.

Wait. So... Are they implying there's something more sinister going on that she needs to correct?

Also the heroine never clarified that she never truly bullied her, the royal family still want to use her a ton and I guess God is also using her? And Knight guy only realises she's a normal person after good girl maid tells at him... I'm not super keen on how they're working thru this plot bc it feels like every element makes it feel just frustrating to see the mc putting up with everything.

@HDMI1 She didn't screw up the contract, the contract never said that she would go back. The only thing that didn't go as planned was her not being banished and instead being kept around as a maid (because apparently the queen has at least half a brain, saw through everything, and had no intention of letting go of such a valuable resource). There's also no need for time to flow differently, she spent 16 years in that world, from Leffina's birth until the engagement was broken, playing her part. She saw her sister in the mirror after she completed her part. What I would wonder is what would god do if she didn't fulfill her end, by failing at any point in the story. For example, if she didn't get engaged in the first place, or if she didn't get the engagement broken.

This started out looking like a bog-standard plot line, but this chapter stands out in ways I was not expecting.

There's a lot of things that don't make sense in this world and in the MC's situation, but this is the first time I started to think that maybe they don't make sense on purpose. Could there be more than meets the eye? I dunno, but I'm more interested now than when I started reading.

The MC has some serious character flaws, and if Wolff hadn't called her out on it, I might have gotten frustrated with the author. But I'll take that to mean that the author does realize that her mindset isn't healthy. People finding self-realization is a theme I like, so I can only hope the story follows through.
