If you know the history of the Cold War, former German soldiers working for the US on a strategy to "contain" communism was never something strange at all. Suffice it to recall Otto Skorzeny or Wernher von Braun.

Considering a lot of WW2 veteran personally saw how soviet treated the german people during their tour and at the end of WW2. safe to say they were in on former German Soldiers/intelligence working together with the US.

Considering what German soldiers did not only in the USSR (especially with Soviet Jews and with the help of Ukrainian nationalists, who now declared victims of the Soviets), but even in the countries of Western Europe, when, having heard about the attack of Soviet troops on Germany, many Germans expectedly expected that the Russians would now begin to take revenge and brutally kill them for all their war crimes, it is easy to hear such excuses funny. Especially considering that a significant part of them was simply an excuse to give meaning to the work of yesterday's Nazi criminals for German and American institutions (for example, Wernher von Braun's attempts to claim that he did not know about the labor of concentration camp prisoners in his factories while some prisoners saw him in person or that infamous information attack about the mass rape of German women, which “accidentally” appeared in the American press after the war ). Which, of course, already 10-15 years later resulted in a number of neo-Nazi conspiracies and still reverberates today with attempts to declare the Nazi military as a role model for the modern German military.

You are literally talking to a person who had at least 30 relatives killed in the Holocaust in western Ukraine. So don't even try to buy me with such hypocritical nonsense. And yes, you don’t have to bother me with an answer, another anti-Soviet revanchist, who WHO COULD HAVE THOUGHT turned out to be a sympathizer of neo-Nazi garbage. I immediately add trash like you to ignore.
