Society, especially Japanese society, is a coffin slowing killing everyone in it by suffocation. People have lost any sense of responsibility or agency and live on idealized worlds were violence doesn't exist while it ravages their cities and keep them prisoners in their own houses (not in japan but even there is not safe from the craziness of modern "peaceful" times).


After this chapter it really is a shame that we already know the destiny of these people and how it all ends T_T.

Peace is a slow death. Small cuts are better than hemorrhaging, certainly.

The only way to stop it is heavy, effective, and correct regulation where the worst desires are reigned in. I know I'd press a button for a million bucks if it killed someone randomly in the world. Need to break a lot of social concepts.

There should be a term for a better state of "peace" that implies more than just not being at war. A social state of being that leads to a utopia.

It likely exists, and I'm too tired to think clearly, or it is in a sci-fi story I haven't gotten around to reading yet, and I love run-on sentences.

Like i understand that not everything is perfect during peace, since crime still exist, homeless people remain homeless, workplaces that are darker than a shitter.
But it can still be fixed, unlike war, cause destruction is a point of no return.

Cause even if war ends the killed people will not come back. Crippled people will still be plagued by trauma. And people who lost their loved ones will probably hold contempt for the people of the nation that took their dear ones from them even if there are innocent ones among them.
