A short, but good chapter. That last stone she made is probably going to become a national treasure and part of some royal's gear.

Ripped her off much?!? National treasure level artifacts at the end, and he gives her a bauble for trouble.

Nice. You just made me 10 million bucks in half a day. Here's your hourly pay of $6/hour.
Thanks for the hard work. See you tomorrow~

It's not as if they have an unlimited amount of those gems, so they aren't going to chain her to a basement or anything.

@kaminomikan: The translation's off on those last few lines of his.

His line after "I don't mind" should be more of "I've made you work enough for that" (that the amount of work she's done is enough to buy the expensive all magic resist up gem....though given the last thing he made her do I HIGHLY doubt it's really sufficient pay)

And the next line after is more of Japanese line of thanking someone for their hard work.
So just "good work today" would suffice.

Who's the guy asking for a god tier stone? Nullification on magic, physical, and abnormal.
What would you call such a small jewel?
My thought: Juggernaut Gem.

I don't think he ripped her off necessarily. He allowed her to experiment with valuable gems without knowing whether she'd be able to pull it off. I also doubt she thinks her reward was insufficient. She wasn't expecting anything in the first place, she just wanted to learn about enchantment because she was curious about the present her husbando gave her.

Though she does need to quickly realize how valuable the things she produces are. Everybody so far (besides the prince) seems appreciate her skills and treats her well, but that may not be the case once the king/military/foreign nations realize what she's capable of.

@seekermoc While I don't hold his actions in as bad of a light as some of the other commenters here, I do take issue with your reasoning that he didn't rip her off because she doesn't believe the reward is insufficient. Taking advantage of someone's lack of understanding to pay less than the proper compensation for work is exactly what "ripping off" is.

Looked to me like he was trying to test her abilities without letting on how rare her ability is. If he did, she might feel uncomfortable and hold back.

Next chapter should reveal what his intentions were.

@GodGinrai

My main points were that he took risk in letting her experiment, and she gained valuable knowledge and experience in an area she was interested in. For this initial interaction, it's less an employer/employee relationship, and more one of a sponsor/researcher. What she learned is worth more than anything, the gem was just a polite gesture on his part. Nobody complained about her making ultra-potions for nothing but room and board.

Not to say that this relationship wouldn't become exploitative if she continued to work for the same level of pay now that everybody knows what she's actually capable of.
