SHE WANTED TO PUT THE HORSES DOWN?! And when I thought this b*tch could sink no lower. I'm living for this chill vibe with her min maxing the hell out of running a cafe with the inevitable savior v savior showdown on the horizon.

one thing that irks me is why does he seem to be the only customer? like sure the cafe doesn't seem to be anywhere with frequent traffic but its hard to believe that its so secluded that only this one guy knows about it.

Put down the horses? PUT DOWN THE HORSES?!!!!! BEETCH, I will put you down first if you ever try something on them!!! 😠😠

But, let's see thing clearly: all of this 💩 is that "god"'s fault, so the thot is not the only to blame. I just hope the author is not going to pull a sob story just to "justify" the "saviour" behavior 😠

Can someone @ me, if they know? The whole "waving the hand down" to signal someone to follow... Is that just a manga trope? I think the only time I've ever seen it is in anime or manga. I actually don't see it all that much in real life, but when I do, it's the opposite. Something like waving the hand up or cart wheeling with your whole arm, something like when Bruce Lee does it or in those army movies with them waving soldiers to follow.. Sorry if my analogy sucks, I don't really have a good one for it xD

That's a Japanese gesture, in general.
It's not so much a trope as the artist is just portraying a scene as they would expect it to play in real life (in their culture).

@Afiaki That's good to know... I'll have to take it more seriously now then. I saw it all the time and thought it was a dumb "fake" anime/manga gesture. However, since that isn't the case, then I just need to look at it differently :) Thank you

@ataniphor I'm assuming it's largely due to the snow; the cafe might be in a place that's too out of the way to visit, especially when the snow gets as thick as it does. When it gets that cold people would likely want to do their business as quickly as possible and head indoors before it gets dark. The heroine didn't advertise, either, and since her cafe just magically showed up out of nowhere it makes sense that only the captain (who IIRC just stumbled on the place) knows about it.

@codydub03 I think that its quite a universal sign language, even if your culture doesnt do it. A hand signal that starts from the other person and then points towards either yourself or a direction often means that you want the person to go there. Like how kids do the side-waving gesture to tell others to follow them

@codydub03 that gesture confuses a lot of westerners - we tend to hold the palm up and wave the fingers toward us, and Japanese people use palm down with the same finger movement. The first time my friend did that, I thought he was saying “go away” or “shush.”

I’m enjoying the story, but it’s a bit...lacking in complexity. The characters so far are either wholly nice or wholly bad/stupid. Ill’s reaction to her with the horse (i wonder if the author is ignorant about horses - apples are not horse feed, she should not give them so many at once 😳) suggests that he assumed all women are terrified of horses just because that bitchy girl was...aren’t there women that ride?
