Yep! It's better for the bride to be an ornament than be usefull to her husband... Really hate this mentality...

Oh god that scene with him apologizing for making her uncomfortable/looking to change his behavior made me tear up randomly

Love the dresses and he is so sweet. Nice to see a ml thinking about his wife. And really enjoy reading this. Can’t wait to see the red head fail in trying to get her to trip up!

@Tesla No, she's assuming Ivona isn't capable of being useful to him in the ordinary way a wife would be. Ivona herself said the same before, actually, when she brought up having to learn how to take care of the household matters for him. This girl probably also doesn't understand just how useful the summoning will be in the long run, because nobody else is aware that war is coming. She's letting her jealousy get the better of her either way and totally about to be a twat because of it, but her premise behind it isn't exactly "wrong" in this setting with current information.

@Glomoro I agree with your explication, but my comment was motived by the fact in many Asian countries (not only, all around the world), too many peoples (men and women alike) still think that women have to be the man ornament, and having capacity other than being a beautiful vase are only some meaningless add-one... :'(

Bring it on, ladies. She's been subject to emotional, psychological, and probably physical abuse for ages. You are nothing.

Y'know, the Duke reminded me of knight Leon in that Villainess turned Nun story. He's got this grumpy stern face and has a social awkwardness about him, but goes all in on some fairly pure feelings.

That said, the happy couple are being so sincere and honest with each other and I love it. He just wants to see her smile some more, and ended up ironically doing exactly what all the other women do to him. This is happy and warm and healthy.

I know the red haired lady is of poor character and about to do something awful, but right now her biggest crime is that mini top hat

Man I really wish tiny hats would become a fashion trend for women. Lady Celton despite being poison, just looks too cute with that hat

I am actually really enjoying this translation. The English is so much smoother and easier for me to read. I'm a tiny bit of a Stickler for Grammar and it is distracting when its a mess. Thank you.

Heh. Really lady? Like, bitch, do you realize she can summon a giant unicorn/wolf that could bite you in half? If not then just go ahead and push her too much. XD

I had to giggle at the villainess' tea party. Ah, yes, excellent table manners and embroidery; exactly what someone who spends much of his life on the battlefield needs in a wife! XD

(Not totally their fault for thinking that, probably; I assume young noble ladies of their particular sort would be sheltered from such "crass" matters by equally-overbearing parents)
