Yeah, forcing a kiss on him and still calling him a 'friend', that's 'friends with benefits' territory, meaning she sees him suitable enough to spend 'sexual relief' with, but doesn't see him go any further with her than that, basically using him for her own pleasure and never putting in the full commitment.

She probably pulled it out of her ass to play it off and relieve tensions out of habit, but MC clearly did not want to be played with like that.
