The demon really misread the MC, thinking his "killer eyes" meant that he'd be a completely detached man, able to renounce the very thing he endeavoured himself so much to protect.
Also, is this demon really the strongest one is his country? Does "country" there mean the demon race as a whole or just a country within demon-kind?

So the whole point with mages like the girl is that, since they are so strong, they will be targeted first, so... they dont join the fights xDDD

I expect her to appear at the last moment for a surprise attack, if not the whole "she will become a target" sounds like a fucking lame excuse from the author to make the MC look cool in a 1vs1.

I dont know, i havent read the novel. I just looked at the raws. I cant read them, but you dont really need to beable to read the raws of a battle.
There are only 4 more chapters left in the raws, a new one should come out soon, so 5 if another chapter isnt translated soon.

1 chapter is a flashback to his previous life, 2 are talking chapters and one chapter of fighting. And the fight should be over, unless there is some kind of Freeza-like (dragon ball) bullshit where the MC saves the villain and it takes an extra episode/chapter to conclude. bar that, this is over in 4 more chapters.

@NoTofu because he was gathering up energy the entire time. He wanted to do that trick, but he didn't have the power, so he's been buying time in order to charge up enough energy to use that attack. Like when you charge a dead phone, it's going to take a few minutes before you can use it, not even counting the time until it's fully charged.

Bummer really, I'm liking the pacing before the fight too. Even I'm liking the fight against the monster horde, really showing the father-sons dynamics
